When this couple inquired about a maternity session that included their dog, I couldn't wait! I often practice my photography on my own dog, Stevie, and was more than happy to have a furry friend join the shoot. The couple wanted portraits taken in the beautiful Beacon Hill and along the Charles River Esplanade. Since I hadn't done a shoot in Beacon Hill in a while I took time to scope out the best spots to take photos at the same time as the shoot. I also opted to rent a camera I was considering upgrading to, and now own - the Canon R6 Mark II. While I usually shoot solo, I asked my boyfriend (after checking with the couple) to assist with the shoot and hold the couple's fur baby during some shots of just the two of them. He also came in handy for carrying my camera bag and the couple's jackets - thanks Thomas!

We spent an hour taking photos in Boston - about half of the time in Beacon Hill and the other half by the esplanade. It was a beautiful overcast fall day, cool but not freezing. The couple was so happy to be taking photos together and tried a bunch of poses in several locations. This shoot was the deciding factor in upgrading my camera. We had an absolutely wonderful time taking these photos and the final gallery was stunning.
